Works of Mercy

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace (1 Peter 4:10).

At Guadalupe Care Foundation, we believe that we are all created in the image and likeness of God. Recognizing this truth, it follows that we are called to serve others, especially those among us who are most in need. Jesus placed special emphasis on performing what are now known as the corporal works of mercy:

  • Give food and drink
  • Clothe the naked
  • Shelter the homeless
  • Visit the sick
  • Visit the imprisoned
  • Bury the dead
  • Protect the helpless

(Mathew 25:35-40)

If you are in need, or you know someone in need, let us help. If you are blessed with a gift, let us show you how to put that gift to use in the service of others in performing these corporal works of mercy.

Remember, we are all brother’s and sisters in the service of one another for the glory of God.
